First Visit Expectations

If you’re like most patients you appreciate being informed before arriving at the dentist.  Below is an overview of what you can expect during your first visit to Horsham Dental.
First, if you haven’t been to a dentist in a while, please don’t worry. You’ve made an important decision – no need to feel guilty!

Let’s get to know each other

When you arrive, you will be greeted by our knowledgeable and friendly front office staff and asked to fill out some paperwork and a brief medical history.  Because certain medical conditions and medications and can influence your treatment protocols, please bring a list of all medications and dosages with you (including vitamins and supplements).

If you have pain in any of your teeth, gums or jaw we will address those issues first.  Just before your cleaning, we will take a full-mouth series of digital x-rays, pictures of your teeth and gums with our special intra-oral camera, and perform complete periodontal and oral cancer screenings. If you have any questions during your time in our office, please don’t hesitate to ask. We want you to understand all aspects of your treatment. 

Once your exam and cleaning are completed, Dr. Lala will talk with you about her findings. Together you can create a healthy, effective treatment plan that best meets your dental and personal requirements.
